When Curly Hair Cared

Curly hair don’t care, but let me share

She’d never dare let it touch the air

Little did she know, she had some flare

Now she’s cool, people stare at natural wear

For years, spirals of fun were flattened I swear

Until she’d forgotten herself; it began to ware

Straight and smooth was the name of the game

So she felt pressure to tame her mane

But now she knows she’s got something special

Her fun and free curls, got her feeling like a rebel
